The International Forum of Tourism Maspalomas Costa Canaria celebrates its fourth edition on 15 and 16 December 2016. The continuity of the event is the best example of the success of a call that annually gathers hundreds of tourists in the main tourist town of Gran Canaria of specialists and tourism professionals. Organized by the Illustrious City Council of the Villa of San Bartolomé de Tirajana and the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, through the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism, it offers the ideal framework for the exchange of opinions and experiences on the main problems of the sector and its solutions, as well as the trends that will mark the future of tourism activity.

The IV International Forum Maspalomas Costa Canaria has the collaboration of the World Tourism Organization and the Ibn Zohr University of Agadir (Morocco) and includes the holding of two parallel events: a Scientific Congress on the Perspectives and Challenges of Island Destinations and some Debate Days, with round tables in which national and international specialists participate.
